One of the most difficult, and important decisions that all high school students face is figuring out what their next step will be following graduation. This is the first serious decision that many high school students will face in their life, which can cause extreme stress. Chances are, many students have had their decisions made for them or had much of the research and information regarding decisions handed to them. What happens when those who you typically seek for guidance have differing ideas of what your post-graduate plans should be? How might technology provide that guidance to high school students about post-secondary decisions and planning and help then to feel confident in their next step in life?

Tassel, a mobile application for high school students, was designed to help high school students to feel more prepared and confident in their post-secondary choices and decision. Tassel is my final design outcome for my senior degree project at the University of Arkansas, School of Art. I began my research project with an idea and a lot of exploration to follow. In my online portfolio I display a very condensed version of my final project and process.
